2014 has been some year. There have been dazzling highs, and crushing lows. We have had difficult obstacles thrown in our path, and found the courage to deal with them head on. Lifes path has taken us around hairpin bends, changing its plot like the course of the Swale. I have made life changes, then changed them again. I have dealt with illness and loss, and celebrated freindship, learning and experience. We have travelled to new places and made new friends. We have lost some along the way. We are constantly reminded of the kindness of those around us, those we are proud to call our friends and family. Jan 1st is just another day, sure, but something about a new year makes one take stock of the past events of the twelve months. I am feeling quiet and contemplative tonight, as I say this - Do the best you can, with what you have, and be the kind of person you would want to hang out with. Happy New Year everyone.
