In Countries where things are normal and function properly, - TopicsExpress

In Countries where things are normal and function properly, matters affecting the education as well as the welfare of students at both post-primary and tertiary institutions are not taken lightly. It is sad that the position in Nigeria is totally different yet, no one dares to offer any practicable solution(s). Too bad. I say without fear of contradiction that both the captains of the academic industry, various students union as well as the government at all levels have failed in discharging their primary duties. Its time we stop getting deceived by the popular saying that children are the future leaders of tomorrow when their future is being tampered with and the culprits get away with it unpunished. If it is true (and I believe it is) that there was an agreement between the authorities, had the government gradually fulfill its own part of the obligation without being obliged to disburse the entire 87 billion or thereabout, perhaps headway wil have been made. Had the captains of the academic industry resorted to more positive means other than strike actions, perhaps there would have been hope for the students and had the various students union play a positive role in the actualisation of the agreement, our tears would have been wiped off. I do pray that the God I serve will intervene for the sake of those parents and benefactors as well as students who in all sense of sincerity deserve to be in a better place, far better than wherenthey are now. These are my own piece and represents my opinion. do have a pleasant weekend.
