In Cricket&Rugby former players go on after retirement to be administrators of the game they played by in BOXING and SICCER its different case former players are not involved in the administration of the sport they once mastered...this is what I think is one of the downfall for the downward spiral in boxing none or not enough formers boxers are involved either in BSA nor as managers and promoters!! Look those guys know almost all the sides to boxing and I feel if more of them were involve the state of boxing wouldnt be in this mess,,we have a crisis when in comes to boxing we use to produce talented champions from all the provinces in SA as much as Border,Eastern Cape and partly Gauteng(economic hub) were the household areas we use to have boxers from throughout the country and status quo remains as of 20 or 30yrs ago..: -Still no financial or life skills presentations for boxers(as far as I know might be wrong) -No proper training of trainers -Trainers(most..i might be wrong) are still using ancient methods of Training instead of new scientific methods because sport has evolved -No educational assistance in place for those boxers who want to further their studies Zininzi and my advice to current boxers for them.not end up like previous generations of boxers GO 2 SCHOOL and u will never know one day u might be lucky because of your qualification if u have aspirations of heading or be in administrator of the sport you love based on them(qualifications) be elected to in some position of influence and most importantly boxing is a short career once u reach them 30s your career is almost gone and u can make a living out of your education!! #MyOpinion
