In December, the U.S. Economy generated just 74,000 jobs. This jobs report was the lowest in two years. The recession has been over for over 4 1/2 years now. The labor force participation rate is the lowest since 1978. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the U6 Unemployment rate is 13.1%. When the president took office full employment was 60.6%. Five months later, the recession ended. Almost five years later, the full employment rate has fallen to 58.6%. The national average was 63% for the last two decades. Since the recession began, 12.6 million people have dropped out of the labor force. And this does not include the shift from full-time to part-time jobs.
