In Georgia they have recently decided that forms of bodywork such as structural integration, cranio-sacral therapy, body movement therapies (e.g. Feldenkrais, etc.) will not be accepted for massage CE credit. I think I understand all the reasoning behind that (and wont go into it right now). But I strongly disagree. I woke up with this image. I see the whole spectrum of massage and bodywork like literature. If I majored in English literature and CEs were required, it would be analogous to some state official or academic saying I couldnt get CE credit for studying French literature. My perspective is the full spectrum of massage and bodywork affords us a greater literacy, that massage alone, in the narrower definition, does not.
