In Hebrew, one definition of rest is to be silent, be still, wait, be dumb, and grow dumb. Resting in God helps illuminate his purpose for your life because it requires no activity on your part. It demands silence, so that God can do his work in you. To rest in him, you temporarily set aside the demands of the day in order to let God reveal himself to you. Taking time out in the midst of many demands on your time may not be easy, but it is necessary for the health of your mind, body, emotions, and spirit. Andrew Murray said it best.... Give God His glory by resting in Him, by trusting Him fully, by waiting patiently for Him. Build at least ten minutes of stillness and quiet into your day today to rest in him. Have a PEACEFUL Wednesday! - Pastor Luther T. Henry II, Ph.D. #RestInGod #KingdomCodeConference2014
