In Huntington Beach, the League of Women Voters (LWV) is hosting a televised Candidates Forum on October 16th in the Central Library. Although the LWV mantra is Making Democracy Work, neither of the City Attorney candidates have been invited to speak at this event to discuss this important race. The reason stated is because the LWV doesnt have the resources to accommodate 2 more candidates. I note that in 2010, the LWV accommodated 20 Council Candidates. There are only 11 Council Candidates this year, providing plenty of room for 2 more Attorney candidates. I am asking the LWV to reconsider their exclusion and I could use your help. If you are interested in helping to INCLUDE the attorney candidates in this televised LWV forum, in order to educate voters, please contact the LWV too.
