In January, 2009, almost 600,000 people lost their jobs as we entered the worst of the financial crisis. Seven years later, companies added more than 250,000 people to their payrolls in December. Now is not the time for failed trickle-down economics. We must raise wages, protect the right for workers to collectively bargain and make sure the risky trading that led to the recession never happens again. Most importantly, Congress needs to put working families first. What ideas do you have for building an economy that works for all Americans?
