In January I was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disorder called Pure Red Cell Aplasia, which meant that I had stopped creating red blood cells. After 10 months of constant blood transfusions, 32 units of blood in total, I am now happy to say that I am creating red blood cells all by myself and am classed as in remission. I have some big thank you to all my friends and family who supported me through some challenging days. My first big thank goes to all those selfless people who donated life saving blood, without them I would not be here. Also the wonderful nurses who oversaw hours and hours of transfusion time. Also during this last year I have had the most amazing alternative therapy treatments and would like to acknowledge all of those valuable healers who often get treated with skepticism. They have been instrumental in my healing process. A fantastic nutritionist helped with my balancing my immune system, thank Akcelina A big thank you to Dominic McGinty whose inspirational nutritional posts inspired me to keep on track. Fab personal trainer too And last but not least Michele Paradise, for her friendship and support right they way through, amazing woman x Onwards and upwards for me. Lots of love to you all and thanks for all your face book posts which kept me amused through my endless hospital visits. A very grateful Giulia xxxxxx
