In Judaism, only the high priest could go past the curtain into the Holiest of Holies to convene with God on behalf of the people. When Christ died, the curtain was torn, allowing everyone Jew, Greek, man, woman, free, slave, personal access to the Father 24-7, with Christ being the High Priest or mediator. Mankind no longer needed an earthly man to depend on for information or mediation with God. The curtain was torn! I feel this is Good News for Good Friday! This confidence of standing with one foot in the world and one foot before the throne of God at all times assures me that I can go anywhere, read anything, listen to anybody, take in all information and sort through it with Him, personally, individually, and particularly. One Christian leader said, Chew up the fish & spit out the bones, meaning: Take all information in, and spit out what doesnt agree with Truth.
