In July 1994 – the summer before my senior year of college – my family took a trip together to Boston. My mom inexplicably collapsed while we were walking around Chinatown and by my first week back at school, we knew why – she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. By my graduation that May, she was already confined to a wheelchair. From there, our family embarked on a long, tough journey with her, living with a cruel and unpredictable illness that dramatically changed her life and eventually killed her three years ago. Along the way, two more family members and a good friend – people I love dearly - have been diagnosed with MS as well. This September I’m walking 50 miles in my third MS Challenge Walk both in my mom’s memory and in support of the people I love who face an uncertain future with this disease. I want to raise much needed funds for research into better treatment options and a cure – will you help me? You can donate at my team “Linda’s Legacy” fundraising page: main.nationalmssociety.org/goto/lindaslegacy_tracy. Any and all support is greatly appreciated!
