In June of 1974, two buddies and I surfed Sebastian Inlet for three days. Sleeping in the back of a 1966 VW Station-wagon (we rotated, one dude always had the ground). The surf was the biggest (10-15) and gnarlest I have ever been into. Was Riding a Semi New Bahne 6 something that snapped in half the morning of the third day. As we left, jumped back on 95 south. At the first rest stop, bought a WRV for $35.00 from a guy who need gas money to get back to Va Beach. The WRV was sold for gas on our return trip.. Harry Chapin - All My Lifes A Circle. The thing is, Sebastian was just crawling with sharks. All kinds and all sizes. As we had never encountered anything like the amount of sharks we saw during that trip, all of us VA boys often took long extend breaks on the beach, just hoping the sharks would leave...they didnt, so we did.
