In Junior High School one day, our science teacher (cant remember which one) showed us a short film which changed my life. I havent forgotten it once in all these 40+ years. I figured Id never see whatever it was again, but Ive never, ever forgotten it; how it started with a man sleeping in a park, zoomed out to the farthest reaches of the universe, and ended inside the mans hand. Tonight I recalled it again, for no particular reason, and in the most incredible YouTube search ever made, I typed in: 1970s short film outer space travel mans hand. And there it was right off the bat, almost exactly as I remember it from 40+ years ago. Curiously, the date on the film is 1977 -- and I definitely saw it earlier. But Wikipedia tells me there was a first draft from 1968, so that must be what I saw. It may not change your life the way it changed mine - but it might.
