In Los Estados Unidos, we make a big deal about freedom of speech and prohibit censorship. During the reigns of Bush and Sheik Barack Hussein Obama, those tenets have faded somewhat. Canada doesnt seem to have a problem with restricting freedom of speech and censorship. In this case, they have a SELECTIVE publication ban on the case. The authorities allow negative information to be published and broadcast, but remove anything that could help Luka. Consider the icepick video. If that video had not made it onto Youtube, almost nobody would have ever heard of this case (I certainly would not have). Nobody with a brain would have ever taken a look at this case. As it is, they have managed to keep him locked up for 2.5 years without even having a trial. THAT is INSANE and UNACCEPTABLE. Even if he was guilty, which he is not, that would be unacceptable to both Luka and the family of Lin Jun. I know of 2 people who have been fired just for showing any interest in the case, and 3 others who were threatened with being fired if they did not back off. In what Canada calls journalism, articles often get posted online, and they ask for responses - fine.. but, they remove any pro-Luka responses, and leave only the negative ones, and then deactivate the response feature after they get enough nasty comments to bolster their stupid articles. Reporters such as Joe Warmington, Tom Wells, Charles Adler, etc are experts at doing this. They are what inspired me to buy 3 pairs of boots with pointed toes. Lets imagine a movie which is reviewed by 100 film critics. 95 of the reviews are positive but 5 are negative. If the 95 positive reviews were deleted, and only the 5 negative ones were left, you would think that movie is awful. Everyone hated it! This is the danger of censorship.
