In Noahs day, the world was full of people like those of Prov 6:17 -19, a recent Daily Reading. A lady whom Im helping told me of her experience with some of those sorts of people in her own immediate neighbourhood, and in her city. After a long chat and listening to her story, I could see that there were lights at the end of the tunnel and avenues open to her that she could pursue which she hadnt considered - its good to get two or three heads together and come up with creative solutions. There is a strong need for prayer for her situation because the lying, cruel and heartless bullies who have money and power are closing in fast on her, and she really needs time to get issues sorted. Please pray for her and her loved ones, that there is a happy outcome for them. I forgot to offer her a cuppa - we arent used to people dropping in, but she didnt mind in the slightest - she was listened to and respected and I accepted her as a loved sentient being - part of Gods creation that we as faithful stewards can only but respond to in love and practical care, so that was the cup of cold water that refreshed her soul - a non-judgemental listening and empathic ear.
