In North Carolina, police infiltrated a non-violent political protest group, before arresting group members for a non-violent political protest. They have been offered a plea deal in exchange for avoiding court. In addition to demonstrating the ludicrous level of prosecutorial leverage in our criminal justice system, this incident once again calls into question our willingness to tolerate protest from the left.
