In Odisha, the water level in all the rivers except Baitarani is receding as the death toll due to rains and floods climbed to 45. Despite recession of water, flood situation still remained grim in the delta zone of Mahanadi river system amid fresh rains. A press release issued by the state Relief Commissioners office this evening said that 33 lakh people have been affected by floods and over 4.87 people are marooned.
