Sooooo at the beginning of this summer I submitted an application / grant proposal for this U.S-Brazil physics graduate student visitation program. And today I got this email from the American Physical Society saying that I got the grant! All $3,000 of it. I wasnt even expecting any feedback until like December, let alone finding out that I actually got the thing. So now, next summer, I get to go to Brazil and learn how to make neutron stars and shit. In celebration, heres a video featuring John Wayne playing Genghis Khan and yes, its exactly what you would expect. How bout we create the Mongol Empire and conquer most of the known world, pilgrim.
