In Order To Receive ‘Direction’ From God… 1st Learn How To Receive ‘Correction’ From God! Hebrews 12:5-6…And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of The Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of Him: For whom The Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth The Ephesians 1 Factor Specifically States: God Has Blessed You…(v.3) God Has Chosen You…(v.4) God Has Pre-Destined You…(v.5) God Has Accepted You…(v.6) God Has Redeemed You…(v.7) God Has Forgiven You…(v.7) God Has Abounded Toward You…(v.8) God Has Made Known The Mystery To You…(v.9) God Has Sealed You…(v.13) God Has Enlightened Your Understanding…(v.18) All of these blessings from God are, without reservation, directed your way. However, qualifying for your life’s Journey to Significance requires learning the art of obedience to the voice of God. Without being able to discern His Voice, it is impossible to know how to pay attention to what God pay’s attention to. Many well- meaning Christians find themselves wandering along in an un-fulfilled life simply because they never learned how to submit themselves to the instruction, teaching, guidance and repeated cleansing of God. You see, God does not expect us to be perfect…only teachable. An Un-Teachable Spirit Will Produce 3 Primary Travesties: 1. An Un-Teachable Spirit Will Allow Past Experiences To Become Limitations 2. An Un-Teachable Spirit Will Allow Past Failures To Intimidate Us 3. An Un-Teachable Spirit Will Develop ‘Routines Of Rut’ In Our Lives These travesties occur when The Lord is not permitted to enter our lives so He can cleanse, refresh and renew. A child meandering into the street does not like to get spanked by the parent. But, the learning experience of the small affliction is far better than the fatality of ignorance! When one resists the ‘Word-Instruction’ provided by those in spiritual authority, the result is ignorance of God’s Word, God’s Will, & God’s Way…and that ignorance…that lack of knowledge…can only lead to destruction! (Hosea 4:6) As Believers, let’s realize there is no ‘Adversity Exclusion Clause’ in our Christian walk. Neither do we have the prerogative to choose what part of the Word Of God we are going to obey, and what part of the Word we are going to omit from our lives. Again, God’s design is the bounty found in the Ephesians 1 Factor. Do not permit Selfishness or Satan to rob you of all the benefits of this great bounty by refusing God’s Hand Of Guidance & Instruction!
