In Search of a Black Jesus: Why The White Man Loves so Much Mandela? Figures like Mandela, or Martin Luther King, and alike, fit very well in that scheme and therefore are very much welcome and heavily promoted. The perfect “Black Jesus” is someone like Mandela, a Black man who suffered under the white man oppression, but decided not only to pardon him, but also to let him keep all the wealth and status they have acquired while murdering and exploiting his own people. Indeed, white people in South Africa represent only 8% of the population but grab 85% of the lands and more than 90% of the economy is in their hands. Most Europeans are not aware of those facts, and when they discover what their ancestors did to other populations around the world, they feel shame, guilt but also fear.
