“In Senses of Wait” Sometimes I think It’s only a figment - TopicsExpress

“In Senses of Wait” Sometimes I think It’s only a figment of my imagination And when I get like this I find myself a lil emo Drowning in argon Trying to put a puzzle together When all the pieces Are from different puzzles And the most important piece Is always missing Finding my heart in a strait jacket Barely pumping Fingers n toes tingling And somehow it all makes sense Or does it? Maybe it’s only lint and a button Finding content in desolation An island surrounded by nothing And nothing is everything Butterflies trapped in a picnic basket Sensations disappear like ghosts Trying like hell To climb out of a jar A jar of creamy peanut butter Every step slipping right back down Wishing someone Would leave the butter knife in the jar But they already dropped it in the sink Hoping for an answer But only seem to find more questions And the day when it all comes together Will it ever get here? Waiting for that day Time tends to go in reverse Or so it seems My heart can’t help it Gagged with barbed wire And still it wants to scream It doesn’t care how bad it hurts It’s beating a message Some kind of Morse code Patience is a virtue But patience is hard When time is always waiting Timing is everything And I keep looking at my watch And the hands haven’t given me any clue Introducing emphatic repetition is truth so true Before long, readily or willingly, Hopefully speedily and happily All will come to be….
