In Support of JJ Heller & Christian music and artists - a fine Happy New Year song - and greeting - loved it - Thanks JJ Heller! A personal note from JJ & Dave Heller below - Happy New Year! Yesterday, which happened to be New Years Day, Dave and I finished writing a brand new song called This Year (Happy New Year). On a whim we set up a camera in our front entryway, and hit the record button. We then uploaded our minutes-old song to the Internet, and your response to the video is blowing us away! In the past two days, we encountered a viral phenomenon we haven’t seen since What Love Really Means released in 2010. As an artist, when I send a song or record out into the world I can’t help but hope the best for it. I have to laugh when I see how often my most expensive, elaborate and well-planned efforts quietly make their way into the world, while a home video that took 10 minutes of work can reach 1.5 million people in less than 18 hours. The Lord is always surprising me! I’ve had a bit of an epiphany. It seems the best way to reach* you is through Facebook video posts (and good content of course!), so I’m planning to change things up a bit this year. My goal is to release more videos in 2015 than I ever have in the past. I look forward to sharing more unreleased songs, some old favorites, and I even talked Dave into making some instructional videos for those of you who play guitar! We’ll upload to YouTube as well :) I’m so thankful to be an artist in this moment music history. Social media and the Internet provide an avenue for an independent artist like me to have a voice. Thanks for being on this journey with me it’s unbelievably helpful when you share my content on your feed. Im humbled and honored to see the way the Lord chooses to use the words Dave and I write to reach the hearts of people He loves so dearly!
