In a fairly bizarre series of events, the deaf composer Mamoru Samuragochi, known as ‘Japan’s Beethoven’, has recently admitted (via his lawyer) that his work on Resident Evil, Onimusha, and the Hiroshima Symphony was not his own – he enlisted a ghostwriter who composed all those pieces. It gets even stranger. Today, the ghost composer has come out and said that he was operating under the threat of Samuragochi’s suicide, and that Samuragochi isn’t even deaf.
