In a few hours Navy promotion results will come out. For those of you that arent familiar with the Navy advancement system Ill sum it up in a nutshell. We get an evaluation based on performance which counts as x points towards advancement. Then there are education points for having a degree. There are also award points and then what we call pass not advanced (pna) points. The navy goes off an exam system that tests your in rate(job) knowledge and professional military knowledge. After we take our exam the test goes to Tennessee to be graded then they factor in your test score, evaluation points, award points and any PNA points from previous exams and come out with your score. Similar to Marines there is a cutting score. If you get above this number you get advanced. If not then thats where the passed but not advanced comes into play. Now. Results come out in a few hours and I hope I get advanced. Thanks for reading my story book status. Rah or some shit?
