In a joint initiative between the Waikato Racing Club and the Cambridge Jockey Club, a Classic Jockeys Series, sponsored by Cambridge Stud, will be held at Te Rapa race meetings leading up to Christmas. The Cambridge Stud Classic Jockeys’ Series will feature retired jockeys competing in two exhibition races for maidens over 1200m at Te Rapa on November 23 and December 20. The must attend event will feature Ballymore Stables co-trainer, Chad Ormsby, one of the younger riding participants, as well as several other former household names. One of the most promising up and coming jockeys of his time,Chad has made an excellent start to his training career, in partnership with Mike Moroney, and celebrating various noteworthy victories including Gr.2 Wellington Cup winner Graphic!
