In a randomized trial of patients who were infected with hepatitis C genotype 1 and who had not been previously treated, sustained viral response was achieved by 99% of those treated with ledipasvir-sofosbuvir without ribavirin for 12 weeks, 97% with ribavirin for 12 weeks, 98% without ribavirin for 24 weeks, and 99% with ribavirin for 24 weeks.
