In a rare triumph of common sense over corporate grabbiness, Australias intellectual property authority has denied BP (yep, the oil company, the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill guys) the right to copyright the color green. Since 1991 theyve been trying to get a lock on the color we graphic design people know as Pantone 348C -- because, after all, the color green is the first thing you thing of when you think multinational oil company with a history of environmental violations, right?
