In a tour of George Bush Intercontinental Airport - Houston with United yesterday, KIPP Legacy 3rd graders lived many incredible airport experiences. They arrived at the airport to pass through security and walk through the terminal to the gate. And then, as a surprise they were able to board a plane and all students got to sit in the pilots’ seats. To top it off, United had organized backpacks full of school supplies to come off the baggage carousel for each student. The most frequent comment we heard was, “This is awesome” and “I want to work for United Airlines.” KIPPsters, tell us, if you could get on a plane and go anywhere, where would you go? Why that city/state/country? What would you see? Parents and teachers, where would you take your children and students and what would they learn and experience? ?
