In a year where TV as yet again reigned supreme (The endings of 30 Rock and Breaking Bad, The glourious return of Arrested Development), while movies for the most part have been fairly disappointing (or hopefully Iv just been seeing the wrong ones), leave it to good ol reliable Woody Allen to once again deliver, to not leave me annoyed after anticipating their latest ("cough" Edgar Wright) and give me my fave film of the year with Blue Jasmine. Cate Blanchett also delivers the performance of the year and may have also given my 2nd fave performance by a female in an Allen film behind ofcourse Annie Hall and her second Oscar should be pretty much in the bag.
