In about two months, Boosters Drew Dober will return to the ring in his third UFC fight. His opponent at UFC on Fox 13: fellow-countryman Jamie Varner. It will be the first fight since Dober lost a hard-fought decision against Germanys „Sergeant“ Nick Hein at UFC Berlin in May this year. Dober was rocked early in this fight but showed an impressive fighting spirit and went the distance with the former European Judo champion. With two tight decision losses in his two UFC fights, the upcoming bout against Varner is very important for the man from Omaha, Nebraska. Dober, who has a strong Muay Thai background and an incredible stamina, has to win if he wants to avoid getting released from UFCs rooster. But theres no doubt about it that Dober is able to do so. His opponent Varner is in a similar position. The man from Phoenix, who is a professional fighter since 2003, has a 2-4 record in the UFC and lost all of his last three bouts in the UFC. In his last recent fight against James Krause, Varner broke his ankle and was unable to answer the bell for the second round. With three consecutive losses it will be surely a do or die-fight for the former WEC lightweight champion. With that said we can expect a very intensive fight between these two powerhouses. The fight takes place on 13. December at UFC on Fox 13. The event is headlined by a heavyweight bout between Junior Dos Santos and Stipe Miocic, in a further fight Alistair Overeem and Stefan Struve encounter each other.
