In accomplishing this great effort of building a cancer center @ SVIMS, where none existed earlier; few wonderful persons helped,Mr.vinayak Ekbote, my sagar classmate and great friend and fantastic human being, who stays in Delhi, took me to chief minister (in 1999) with in 48hrs of knowing of my dream life time ambition. Dr.Kumaraswamy reddy, Dean of SVIMS, a great pathologist, helped my entry in to SVIMS and supported the project at every turn,often very hostile, during my 71/2 years stay there. Dr.Sivakumar, another great human being, a man oriented to Dharma, head of nephrology, diverted a donation of Rs 24 lakhs by Ruias (Mumbai) (originally given to nephrology) to cancer department. From there, the actual infrastructure started getting kick started, with TTD chipping in with handsome contribution, to make it a comprehensive cancer center now. May lord bless all these greatmen
