In addiction, you lose anything and everything that has ever meant - TopicsExpress

In addiction, you lose anything and everything that has ever meant anything to you. In my case, while sharing my testimony, I described it as gift wrapping everything important in my life (i.e. My kids), tying a big red bow on it, & when satan knocked on my front door, Id open the door and hand him my kids, perfectly wrapped and with a smile on my face. In Gods word, we are promised everything satan has taken from us will be returned ten fold. Well for me, today The Lord gave me insight on returning to me something my addiction (satan) had taken from me. For most of you, you know my mom and I have always been best friends. I grew up with more than a mom, but a big sister of sorts. My addiction took the best of that relationship to the point I never thought I had a chance to regain any part of it, regardless of how small. While visiting with her at her office today, in general conversation, she put her hand on my back and said, I love you anyway,. To me, the earth stood still, and I realized God was keeping His word!! So a big shout out to the mighty man who keeps His promises!! Thank you dear Lord for this one. Its one of those things I missed most, my mom!!
