In all seriousness, who here is interested in a Miami book club? Here is what I propose: a meeting every other month with the first being in early October so we have time to get organized. Hosting duties can be rotated among members if the group stays at 6 or under. If we get more than 6 interested, hosting duties will be randomly assigned and once you host, you will not be included in the drawing again until everyone has had a turn at hosting. Hosting duties include finding a venue (your house or a place you get the OK from-- hmmm Books & Books...), choosing a book, and leading the discussion on the day of the get together. Participants are responsible for snacks and beverages as the host will have enough to worry about. Books chosen should be kept to under 400 pages, but I think that should be the only restriction on books. Ginny Fico Yee Kee, Anna Christie Fuentes, and Meghan McGuire we have seriously discussed this recently. Yes? No? These are just some ideas, we can get together and flesh it out if anything. Lets stop talking about it and do it!
