In anticipation of her golden birthday (turning ten years old on November 10th) Rebecca Dewey decided she would like to ask her friends to substitute her gifts with a gift to charity. Rebecca’s mom called her friend Jennas mom, Julie Greene, to see if she knew of some good charity ideas. Mrs. Green suggested several ideas and Rebecca quickly decided to collect toys for orphan girls in Haiti. Rebecca liked the idea that Mrs. Greene would be able to hand deliver the toys to the orphans and when Rebecca was asked if she missed getting toys at her birthday and she replied No, not at all. Rebecca said she hopes the chain of giving keeps going on and on. Rebecca collected approximately 50 toys for the Lacoste Orphan Camp in Haiti, and then, another family hearing of her toy collection donated an additional $50. Congratulations, Rebecca! You were Caught being GOOD!
