In biblical days, the blind beggar’s hope was pinned on the pity - TopicsExpress

In biblical days, the blind beggar’s hope was pinned on the pity of others. So when he heard of Jesus coming, his paradigm shifted. He no longer wanted to depend on humans for help; he now focused his hope on the one Person, Jesus Christ. Bartimaeus cried to Jesus so loudly from the street that people rebuked him and told him to be quiet. But he persisted; He was smart enough to know that the crowd was no longer his concern. He needed Jesus, no matter what. When Bartimaeus shouted all the more, Jesus stopped in His tracks! He restored his sight AND hope for a new life. What about us? Are we worried about what people will think? Are we too proud to show our desperation for Jesus? You need your sight back - the sight of a clean heart and a clear mind. You need hope. Cry out to Jesus with all your heart – no matter what people say. [One of our 101.5 WORD-FM Ministry Minutes this evening]
