In case anyone is uncertain about what fracking is, let me - TopicsExpress

In case anyone is uncertain about what fracking is, let me explain; Fracking is an oil drilling jargon word used to describe the breaking of the rock beneath Scottish peoples homes and countryside. Fracturing is an unpleasant word which we normally associate with road traffic accident victims. Eg: Fractured ribs, fractured spine etc. So the British government is inviting drilling firms to fracture the very landscape of Scotland in order to drain away our gas and shale oil. Scotland of course, will see no profit from this. The money will line the pockets of tory shareholders of Quadrilla. Strange isnt it that that well known UK firm Ineos are building a gigantic shale gas processing plant? How very fortunate. Must be a coincidence. Mind you, I wouldnt fancy the massive compensation class action for damages caused by fracturing the rocks in a geological fault. The part of Scotland which has been condemned to be broken apart, is on just such a faultline, & with about 1100 miles of old mine tunnels as well, theres a strong possibility of mines collapsing and taking buildings on the surface with them.
