In case you ever wondered about my alternate ego Jellybean Gumbo... Who Is Jellybean Gumbo? By Jellybean Gumbo Who is he? What’s his name? Is he funny? Does he like to play games? This Jellyfish Mumbo Jumbo, if that’s what he’s called, Why does he write, and is this guy bald? Well, to answer all that would be easy it seems, But Jellybean Gumbo is different, like crazy fun dreams. He is an artist, an author, a husband and a dad. His name is Jellybean Gumbo and he hates to be mad. He thinks he’s funny, but we’ll leave that up to you. Jellybean loves games when there is nothing to do. More than anything though, Mr. Gumbo loves God. I know, I know, it seems pretty odd. You see God is our creator, our Savior and friend. God was there at the beginning and He’ll be there at the end. He made us from clay, just to be with Him, But one day this world found out about sin. We tried and we tried, but we just couldnt do it. We couldnt fix the problem, and everybody knew it. God had a plan that would make everything right And sent His one and only Son to us one night. We raised Him and taught Him, but He knew more than we. We thought He was great, wonderful and cool, Jesus knew that for salvation, He was just the tool. God sent Him to die on the cross and raise again, To save the whole entire world from sin. Jesus knew what he was doing and He thought of you. He thought of us all and it was His choice of what to do. Now Jellybean Gumbo thought long and hard. He thought at school and he thought in his yard. Why would someone do all of that for me? And then his eyes opened and Jellybean could see. Our God loves us all, more than we know, And sending His Son was His way to show What love is all about and why we all need it, How we should give it and how to receive it. So please be sure to talk to God every day Let Him be your friend and show you the way.
