In case you havent noticed, the Conservation District is passionate about recycling! Over the next three years, the District hopes to increase the volume of materials recycled by 10%. Ever wonder where your recycled items go after you deposit them in the single stream bin? They are transported to a state-of-the-art recycling facility in York, PA. Each year, more than 78,000 tons of recyclable materials, including cardboard, plastic, glass, and paper, pass through Penn Waste’s 45,000 square-foot facility on their way to being recycled, repurposed, and reused.
