In exactly one year Canadians will vote in a general election. We have a choice between a government that steered the ship of state safely through troubled waters or an opposition that seeks to venture into uncharted waters. We Conservatives have both a map to the future and a captain with experience. The New Democrats have a map to a future where taxes are higher, job growth is not a priority and the government spends billions of dollars telling us how to raise our children. The Liberals have a captain who is, to be charitable, not ready to handle the big ship. Over the next year we Conservatives will reach out to Canadians to discuss the priorities for Canadas future. Our emphasis will be on the things that matter such as keeping taxes low, making sure our economy continues to create good jobs and balancing the budget. We believe we have our priorities right for Canada and trust that the public will see the common sense of our plan. Personally, I am excited for what the next year will bring. I will be meeting thousands of my neighbours and talking about their priorities for their future and the values we share. I cannot wait for October 19, 2015.
