In his book Good To Great author Jim Collins noted the following common characteristics of exceptional companies and their leaders: the successful ones: 1) were willing to face the brutal facts, and 2) they also combined personal humility with strong determination. I find that remarkably interesting. How often do we hear anyone in the business world emphasize humility as a desirable trait? Im sorry. Call me an idiot. But I am firmly convinced that there is a right and wrong way to run a business. Put your customers and employees first. Serve them in humility and honesty. And you will own the market.
