In honor of Canadas Unofficial Work from Home Day, I pulled out - TopicsExpress

In honor of Canadas Unofficial Work from Home Day, I pulled out some quotes from our recent work from home contest entries. They beautifully express why so many people prefer the work-from-home-or-anywhere lifestyle over any other way of life. Let yourself be inspired to make it *your* lifestyle too! -- I work from my kitchen counter which is located in the central area of my house. It is the perfect location because from there I can MULTITASK such as exercise, prepare meals, clean, practice my flute, water my plants, play with my dogs and build my websites at the same time. -- I dont need expensive furniture or books trapped in a room, I simply need a laptop and a phone, and friends around the globe to swap and share stories with. Ive become less materialistic and more focused on what really matters; inspiration and beauty, connections and practicality. -- A career is the expression of who you are & what you love. Home is where the heart is. -- In my spare time every day, I enjoy the benefit of connecting and accommodating my dear wife- who is expecting our second child, and our little girl in my home workspace. -- The perfect office space is not the space with the comfortable chair and expensive equipment. It`s the place where you feel at ease with friends that share your ideas. You can form an office with available resources. Simple tools are all that are needed to be successful. -- My work-from-home space is less stressful than at my previous job in the office. I can not only determine my own work hours, but also control all the environment, mood and work in the framework that makes me happiest and most productive. -- But the truth is I dont need lots of extras and I can work anywhere and everywhere. The only things I really need are great ideas, motivation and my laptop. :-) -- My home is a 28 Ft. Class A motorhome. The perfect work space is where ever I WANT to be at the moment. For me its not about cabinets, chairs, desk, and being organized. Its about the freedom, the view, the smell and sounds of the breaking surf, and the vibe of all of that combined. -- My ideal work from home space is a family private jet that takes us anywhere we want to go, while I work on my website, which by the way, is a work I truly enjoy. -- I work predominantly from home and now that Im almost 6 months pregnant, being able to work in a comfy chair with my feet up, and the fresh air and sunshine of my garden is my absolute ideal work from home space! -- Living in the tropics of Queensland, Australia makes outdoor living & working so easy and with the help of the technology those days ...... its a breeze ............ -- I am so happy working from my home. I chose a spot close to my ceiling to floor windows where I can take a break of a few minutes to relax and enjoy the view of nature and especially the Ocean. That is my favorite place on Earth to be. This helps me meditate, concentrate, get inspired and focus on my job and projects. And having a Site Concept base on a theme that I love, I dont feel like working, I feel like being in Paradise. - Margit P.S.: The photo credit goes to Marlies Gehrig, showing us her office view in Queensland, Australia.
