In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and the legacy of Dr. King, we recall artwork that Lawrence created to commemorate King’s March On Washington. The art was designed in 1983, the same year that President Ronald Reagan signed the holiday into law and was reproduced as posters and commemorative postcards. It was an honor to contribute in celebrating the vision and accomplishments of this truly inspiring civil rights leader.
