In just one short week Mumford has gone from a middle aged Corgi that had never lived inside and had no clue how to be a member of a family to this. He is now enjoying human attention, seeking it out, and playing with toys. Mumfords story is a prime example of how being a foster parent saves lives. Many people think that purebred dogs sitting in shelters dont have trouble finding homes. But when you are sitting in a shelter dirty and afraid and you dont know how to interact with people...it doesnt make you more adoptable just because you arent a mix. Not all dogs come around as quickly as Mumford is, but patience, structure and love are great ingredients to success.
