In last weeks debate, one of the moderators (who happened to be best friends with the No on Labelings attorney) said, This isnt a fight over labeling. This is about genetically modified foods. No, no it is not. It is about democracy, about our rights to ask questions and have information about how to protect our families. If another country were inserting these things into our food without telling us, how would we respond? This is patriotism and democracy and the fundamental human right to know what is going into the foods we are feeding our families. This is one of the greatest civil rights issues of our time.
