In less than a month our mission team leaves to serve at English camp in the Czech Republic. For the third year we at CBC have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people in this predominately atheistic country. This is a mission of Calvary Baptist Church. Although you may not be going as part of the team you are a part of the ministry! As part of the local support team, you can pray for: 1. Our team members: Kent Burchyett, Lewis & Cathy Blurton, Mark & Penny McClure, and Russ and Mary McFarling as lessons are prepared and arrangements finalized. 2. The camp leadership team as they plan and prepare. 3. The students who will attend. Some will have been at the camp before. Some are believers who need encouragement to be consistent in their faith. Some may be the only Christians in their schools. Some who have attended in the past have not yet given their lives to Christ. Pray for their salvation. Pray that there will be new students who may experience God’s love for the first time. Pray that God will open their minds and hearts to the truth. 4. Safe and uneventful travel. Some details of travel within the country are still being worked out. You can give: Cost of the airline tickets was over $12,000. Other expenses will come to about $3500 ($500 per team member). A love offering will be received on Sunday, July 13. Your financial assistance with these expenses will be greatly appreciated. We look forward to all that God will do as together we serve Him in this ministry. Thank you!
