In lieu of doing an ice bucket challenge (sorry William Kellermeyer, thanks for thinking of me when nominating!), Im gonna share this. I didnt know much about ALS until I got until Jason Becker a few years ago. He was an incredibly talented guitarist whose career was ended by ALS. Now, he cant move and can only communicate with a system of moving his eyes that his family developed. He has continued to write music, albeit at a slow rate because of obvious difficulties. The loving people surrounding him have grinded out parts on a keyboard for him after he describes what to play. After getting close enough, Becker uses Logic Pro to compose pieces (I believe the computer program tracks his eye motions with a camera with blinking serving as the click function.). This is one of the pieces hes written in this fashion.
