In life everyone has and is entitled to opinions. It’s no different to what happens on a cruise. Last week we had some pretty bad weather across the Western Caribbean which resulted in a few ships having to miss ports like Belize, Grand Turk and Grand Cayman. This happens rarely and when it does the Captain makes that decision based on the safety of the vessel plus sometimes the decision is made for him when the port authority closes the port. Have a look at these two from last cruise and this sums how opinions can be so different. Jonathan K said “ The ship was not able to dock in Grand Turk. Captain came over the loudspeakers to explain that it would have been dangerous to dock there. Louise and I were disappointed but the staff did an awesome job in arranging loads of activities and the comedy challenge the two comedians did was hilarious. Kudos goes to the Captain for making sure we were safe and the staff for making sure we had lots of fun.”. Aaron R said “ We missed Grand Turk because of windy weather which was a lie because Carnival wanted money in the casino and ships. There was nothing to do and no compensation for the passengers who missed this port because of Carnival’s greed” One cruise, two opinions. Isnt life fascinating ?
