In light of Ferguson, the Eric Garner case, and the man shot on Broad River Road I felt the need to do something but I couldnt think of ways to make a real difference. Yesterday I found a way that really impacts the community I am from. I spent the whole afternoon helping young men become better athletes. In doing so, I was able to give those guys an example that they matter. I grew up in the same area as them, sat in those same Northeast seats they sit in everyday. This is my impact and I plan to continue to help develop their skills and challenge their minds so they can understand I too can be successful.
