In my career as a singing teacher, Ive had the great misfortune of pre-diagnosing vocal nodules about a dozen times. It happened again two weeks ago with a fellow Sweet Adeline. It always makes me sad. Im the woman that cried for a week after I learned about Julie Andrews failed surgery. For me, the mis-management of air and lack of support understanding the primary culprit in our vocal health issues. Of course, these are also the concepts in the teaching of singing that are perhaps the most difficult to communicate. For me it took a teacher who understood and taught consistent muscle mechanics. A huge blessing in my own twenty year journey towards vocal ease and effectiveness!
