In my dads eulogy last month I said that one of the most important lessons I learned from him was that life is hard. That lesson is serving me well in 2014, on a personal level the worst year I can remember. Enough already! Without my faith, and without God at my side, youd find me cowering under the blankets in a puddle of tears about now. Life is hard. Life isnt fair. Bad things happen. (And they dont always happen for a reason, but the Holy One is the BEST at making lemonade out of lemons.) Im thankful for all of the things that could have gone wrong but havent. Im thankful for small blessings, like a puppy that chews up my stuff, and a brand new granddaughter well be welcoming in September, dinner with friends, and sitcoms on t.v. that make me laugh. Im thankful for my loving and beloved hubby of almost 38 years. So TAKE THAT 2014!!!!
